Brett Manning

OH how I love Brett’s work. Her style and subjets are very similar to my work. I love her braided and obscures stylized imagery and odd combinations in subject matter. Her work in pencil and ink is lovely and has some great line work and depth. She does work in paints as well and the paintings she does have great soft and lovley tones to them.

Cate Parr

I love Cate Parr’s work for the fact that her fashion Illustrations are only done in watercolor. the entire image is all paint. Having that much handle or no handle on waterclor is very good work. I love the range of colors she gets in one image. I think the fluidity of the watercolor and the interesting marks that are made from waterdroplets and what not make agreat medium for fashion illustration.

Conrad Roset

Conrads work has always been some of my favorites. her style goes in an out between refined line work and then painterly brush strokes and splatters. Her work centeralizes around the figre but many of her commisioned works are more graphic and cartoonish and its great to see an illustrator not stuck on one style.

Lindsey Carr

I love Lindsey’s work because of how she works with such naturalistic and vintage imagery. I also love her color pallette of musted eath tones and gem tones. Much or her work resembles collage and I found recently that she does do a lot of cut paper work as well. I love the imagery of animal and plants in almost scientific illustration styles.

Loish

I first found Loish on Deviant art foru years ago. I was always fond of her unique stylized imagery and figures and her amazingly amazing…digital painting techniques. Much of her images are colored in  a way i hav’nt seen many people work in. I also love her charatcer developments and interesting engaging figures. I love the bright and glowing colors she uses in her work as well.

Caitlin Hackett

If you cant already tell from my artists that I post on here, I have a certain affinity to line work, muted and dreamyc olor schemes, the human figure, animals, skulls, and painting. Now that being said last year or so I stumbled upon a wonderful illustrator name Caitlin Hackett her work embodies everything I listed above. She creates work based of humans relationships to animals. I find her work to be extremely disturbing and morbid and beautiful and quit interesting. the delicate line work and beautiful imagery seems almost like japanese works on tapestry.

Birdie Houdini

Birdie’s works have a  very unique modern and vintage approach to them. her style resembles old russian fairytail imagery. I think her use of line and color is beautiful as well as her odd imagery. much of her work combines photo and drawing in a way I havn’t seen yet before. I will be interested to see more of her work.

Kippery

This artists is young still but despite that fact she is incredibly talented and has some great work. Her style is very distinct a mix of anime and art nouveau and a touch of Arthur Rackham. Her line work and her approaches to the human form and anatomy are stylized and very dynamic. she will create some great work and im sure in the future she will make it big. I also love her color choices and her rendering she used in figures. she combines both flat and organic line work with rendered and shaded forms that I love.

Takato Yamamoto

Takato’s illustrations are works that I find extremely pleasing to the eye. The extreme detail and craft of his work is evident in all his work. The dull muted and dark foreboding colors and simple and asymmetrical imagery is dynamic and makes for very interesting approaches to composition. The subject matter of human anatomy and intimate images of figures or portraits also surround death and mortality which I find to be interesting contrasts in his pieces.

Well Im sure you have sen some of her work. She hit the Illustration seen and just really made it big. I think her style of work started a theme in a lot of works now. Her sensual erotic and natural organic immagery is seen everywhere now. Despite this I think her work shows a lot of great skill. Her prescion in her drawing work is fenominal and her use of compostion is wonderful. I think that her work on wood and the way she uses the grain in her work is a very eye catching and intriguing.
